SimpleScripts (“SimpleScripts”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website www.simplescripts.ca (the “Website”). SimpleScripts is a Canadian technology platform that connects customers with licensed pharmacies in Canada (“Partner Pharmacies”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Website, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions. By using the Website or submitting information through our forms, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you contact us or place an order, you may provide your name; contact details such as phone number and email address; and health-related details such as the medication name, strength, and quantity you ask about, along with anything you choose to share in the message field. If you continue with an order, you or your prescriber may also provide a prescription, government-issued identification, and a shipping address.

 

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, we may collect limited technical information such as your device type, browser, IP address, and the pages you view, through cookies and similar technologies. This may include basic analytics that help us understand how the Website is used.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  2. Facilitate and process orders with our Partner Pharmacies.
  3. Help verify eligibility and prescription details.
  4. Arrange delivery of your order.

3. Consent

We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent, in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. By submitting information, you consent to its use for the purposes described here. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer process an order or provide part of our service.

 

Because some of the information you share relates to your health, we treat it as sensitive and apply a higher standard of care in how it is handled and shared.

4. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as needed to provide our services, including with:

  1. Partner Pharmacies, so they can dispense and arrange delivery of your order as your authorized agent.
  2. Service providers who support the Website, communications, payment processing, and delivery, under confidentiality obligations.
  3. Authorities or other third parties where required by law or regulation, or to establish or protect our legal rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising in exchange for payment.

5. Cross-Border Information

SimpleScripts and its Partner Pharmacies operate in Canada, so your information is generally processed and stored in Canada. If you are located in the United States or elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and handled in Canada under Canadian privacy law. Where service providers process limited data in other jurisdictions, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will respond in line with applicable privacy and breach-notification laws.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by pharmacy, tax, and other legal record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it.
